Terms of Service

Version 2.1.0 · effective August 23, 2026

Welcome to Lila. By using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

They are written to be read. Where a clause gives us a right, it says what we would use it for.

1. What Lila is, and who may use it

Lila is a personal assistant you talk to. It captures what you say by voice or in writing, sets reminders and alarms, prepares a daily briefing, keeps a workspace of notes, intentions, goals and habits, and remembers context from your conversations so that later ones are useful.

Some parts only exist if you switch them on: connecting a calendar or mailbox, estimating your energy level from the sound of your voice, telling Lila about your beliefs or your birth details so it can respect them, and building small apps of your own inside Lila. The Privacy Policy describes what each of those collects.

You may use Lila for your own personal purposes. You must be at least 18 years old to use this app.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your password. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Tell us at hello@hellolila.app if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Your content

You own the voice recordings, reminders, notes and other content you create. By using the service you permit us to process that content in order to provide it to you, and nothing further.

We use AI to transcribe your recordings and to extract what you asked for. We do not use your content to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s, and we do not sell it. How long content is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy.

4. What you may not do

This list exists so that section 7 means something specific. It is short on purpose.

Objectionable content and abusive behaviour have no place here, whether it comes from you or from Lila. Report anything that breaches this section — press and hold the message and choose Report, or write to hello@hellolila.app. We review every report within 24 hours and act on it, which can mean removing the content and closing the account behind it.

  • Break the law, or infringe someone else’s rights, using Lila.
  • Try to reach another person’s account, or any part of our systems you were not given access to.
  • Reverse engineer the app, scrape it, resell it, or run it as a service for other people.
  • Automate abuse: flooding the service with requests, or working around a limit rather than asking us to raise it.
  • Build a mini-app that gathers information about other people, or that does something with your own data you have not been asked to agree to.
  • Rely on Lila for a decision that needs a professional. See section 8.
  • Create objectionable content, share it, or ask Lila to generate it: material that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that degrades another person. There is no tolerance for this.

5. Plans, payment and your consumer rights

Lila has a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Some features require Pro.

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, who are the seller for the transaction. Their terms govern the purchase itself, they issue the receipt, and refunds are handled under their policy rather than ours. Our agreement with you covers the service.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel through your App Store or Google Play account; that is the only way to stop renewal, and deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

We may change what a plan costs or what it includes. A price increase never applies to a subscription already running: the store asks for your agreement before it charges a higher price at the next renewal, and if you do not agree the subscription simply stops renewing. We give notice of a material change in the app before it takes effect.

A Pro subscription is digital content that starts immediately. Under Turkish distance-selling rules the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately once you have agreed to that, which is what starting a subscription does. This does not affect any mandatory consumer right you have where you live, and it does not affect Apple’s or Google’s own refund policy, which is often more generous.

6. Changes to the service and to these terms

Lila is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and some capabilities are limited or unavailable while we test them. We will not remove your ability to export your data.

If we make a material change to these terms we will say so in the app before it takes effect, and the version and date at the top of this page change with it.

7. Suspension, termination and deletion

We would rather fix a problem than end an account. Where we can, we will tell you what is wrong and give you a chance to put it right first. We would skip that step only where the law requires it or where waiting would put someone at risk.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. If you cannot reach the app, write to hello@hellolila.app from the address registered to your account and we will delete your account and data within 30 days. Cancelling a paid subscription is done separately through Apple or Google. Export your data before you delete, because deletion is not reversible.

These are the grounds on which we would suspend or close an account:

  • A breach of section 4.
  • Use that puts other people, their data, or the service itself at risk.
  • Payment that fails or is reversed, for the paid part of the service.
  • A legal obligation or a binding order that leaves us no choice.

8. What we do not promise

The service is provided "as is", without warranty. We are not liable for missed reminders or lost data. AI transcription may not be 100% accurate, and neither is anything Lila infers from what you tell it.

Lila is not a medical, legal, financial or religious adviser, and nothing it produces should be relied on as professional advice. Where it estimates something about you — a mood, a pattern, a suggestion — that is an estimate and is often wrong.

9. Governing law

Lila is operated by Furkan Efe Genç, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye, at Ahlatlıbel Mahallesi, 1859. Cadde, No 44/32, Çankaya, Ankara.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Ankara have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.

If you use Lila as a consumer, this does not remove the rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, including the right to bring a claim before your local consumer arbitration committee or court.
