Delete your account
Deleting your Lila account erases your account and everything stored under it. There are two ways to do it, and both end in the same place.
From the app
- Open Lila and go to Settings.
- Open Account, then tap Delete Account.
- Type the confirmation phrase when asked.
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. There is no waiting period and no way to log back in and restore anything, so export or write down anything you want to keep before you start.
Without the app
If you have already uninstalled Lila or cannot sign in, email us from the address your account is registered to. We need the request to come from that address — it is the only way we can tell it is your account you are asking about.
We will delete the account and its data within 30 days of receiving the request, and reply when it is done.
What gets deleted
Everything held against your account, in one operation:
- Your account itself — name, email address and sign-in credentials
- Reminders, notes, goals, habits and everything else in your workspace
- Chat conversations and voice transcripts
- Memories and the context Lila built up about you
- Beliefs, birth data and anything else stored under a separate consent
- Mini-apps you built, and the data inside them
- Cached calendar events and email, and the record of access to them
- Notification history and anything scheduled but not yet sent
- Push tokens, so the phone stops receiving anything
- The link between your account and your subscription
What we keep
- A server log entry recording that an account was deleted, and when. It contains no content of yours and exists so we can show a deletion was carried out.
- Records Apple or Google hold about a purchase. Those are the stores’ own, kept under their tax and refund obligations, and we cannot delete them on your behalf.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting the account does not cancel a paid subscription — only Apple or Google can do that, from the account you bought it with. Cancel it there first, or you will keep being charged for a product no account is attached to.
